This news made me so embarrased as a Japanese. Below video shows how awful our former finance minister was.

After the G7 conference in Roma, he talked in front of the cameras from all over the world. He usually speaks weird and looks sleepy, but no one could doubt but he was drunk or had problem in his brain or something. He drunk some gin and tonics on a plane, plus a little wine at lunch the next day, and then he slurs his way through a press conference with six other ministers. He excused that he took a cold medicine, who believes is!?!? Unfortunately, the news were watched by not only Japanese but all people abroad, he obviously let the reputation of Japanese down. I feel so sorry about it.

I think you don't have to feel sorry about this news because he showed his responsibity by resigning from his position.

No offense, but the behavior of Japanese finance minister is somehow unforgivable. He is the one who has a lot of power but still doing something shameless like that. Hmm that just my opinion, excuse me if i said something bad.
I agree with george389. You don't need to feel sorry about the minister because he took responsibility for his actions. Also, you didn't do the embarrassing thing - he did!
It's unfortunate when a politician makes a fool of himself because when he does, it sort of makes a fool of the whole country (that's how I feel sometimes).
